Hungarian word and translates into grassland, field, meadow. The land, where these grapes grow today, were used for feeding the livestock of the village.

on top of the Wagram-Plateau. 50m above the lake. northeast. mostly sandy soil underneath a very intense layer of gravel. alluvial soil from the ancient Danube river. healthy but meager soil. Very dry. Already outside the haze of lake Neusiedl. physiological ripeness early. the grapes love it here.

VINIFICATION
we took in the grapes, destemmed, and fermented them naturally on skins for 6 days. no additives. Then we pressed them and pumped the juice into stainless steel (Rotburger + St. Laurent) and large acacia (Rotburger) no additives and no temperature control at any stage of winemaking. wines matured on gross lees for 7 months without any additives, without fining and without filtration. Blended together shortly before bottling. no sulfites added. unfiltered.
