PERSPEKTIVE derives from the Latin „perspicere“, meaning: „to look through“. When it comes to natural wine – the closer you look the more flavors and aromas you get – the more corners and edges you might find. AND, to us, natural wine puts wine itself into a different perspective (understanding wine in the same context as the average wine drinker does – mainstream wines).
the birds – swallows –in our country these are a symbol for true luck. When we started our wine adventure back in 2011 – we needed a lot of luck. The style in general is a bit retro and shall remind you of Burgenland-labels of the 1950s. find the vintage hidden in the lot number.

NEUBERG belongs to the best vineyard sites Burgenland has to offer. It is also one of the eldest vineyard sites in our area – vines have been growing here for many of hundreds of years. NEUBERG is a very rocky limestone hill in the northwest of Neusiedl and belongs to the Leithaberg Mountains. The Neuberg-hills are softly rolling towards the lake and slope either southeast or north south. The soil is pretty scarce, surfacing huge amounts of limestone fragments (in some parts schist). The vine lives up to its best. The grapes we grow here are always of the utmost quality. Delivering wines that are very purist but precise – clearly structured and with depth of character – dark but charming minerals amongst enticing fruit notes.

harvest, all grapes are processed in the backyard. The grapes got partially destemmed (approx. 10% stems in the mash) and fermented naturally in stainless steel and fiberglass vats. no temperature control. After 13 days we pressed the mash and the wine was pumped into barrels (225l Barriques) in the cellar. no temperature control, no air-condition. The wines matured on gross lees for 22 months without any additives, without fining and without filtration. Various barrels blended together 1 day before bottling without any additives. At bottling we added 10mg of sulfur. unfiltered.
trivia: We use a natural cork from Portugal, which is produced without using any glue and is coated with a special natural-bee-wax to increase its quality. Every single bottle is waxed by hand with light-purple wax. We care about our environment and feel responsible for trying to waste as little resources as possible. This is a major issue to us. Therefore we now use cardboard cases produced from recycled paper. They need not to be sealed with tape – they are only folded up. We have also refrained to print design on the cases and fit all information on one label per case. No print for a better environment. We also care about CO2 emissions when it comes to transport/weight. Therefore we use only very light bottles.
